We are hiring a detail-oriented and technically skilled Civil Draftsman to support the design of ground-mounted and rooftop solar PV systems for industrial, commercial, and utility-scale projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with civil and electrical design engineers to develop topographical integrations, PV layout plans, civil a using AutoCAD and related software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare site layout drawings including:
- Module mounting structures (MMS) foundation layout
- PV layout plan
- Inverter and control room placement
- AC/DC Cable trench routing
- Switchyard and transformer foundation drawings
- AC & DC SLDs
- Fencing and approach road layout
- Generate detailed civil GA drawings, plans and sectional views.
- Draft pile layout drawings, RCC pedestal details, and equipment foundation drawings.
- Update drawings as per site topography, survey data, and geotechnical reports
- Prepare as-built drawings, good for construction drawings (GFC), and revisions
- Ensure all drawings comply with:
- Relevant IS codes (IS 456, IS 800, etc.)
- Project-specific structural and electrical design norms
- Coordinate with site engineers, structural consultants, and project managers
- Maintain drawing control registers and document logs
Requirements:
Educational Background
- B.E. /Diploma or ITI in Civil Engineering / Draftsmanship from a recognized institute
Technical Skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD (2D) & SketchUp — mandatory
- Familiarity with MS Office
- Experience with:
- Ground-mounted solar layout principles
- Survey-to-drawing conversion using topographic maps
- Urban planning & site development plans
- Civil BOQ preparation support
