We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Design Manager to join our engineering
team. The Design Manager will lead, coordinate, and manage all design activities for ground
mounted and rooftop solar PV systems for industrial, commercial, and utility-scale projects. The
role involves managing the design team while ensuring that all designs meet technical,
functional, safety, aesthetic, and cost requirements to comply with the strict timeline, relevant
codes, client specifications, and statutory norms.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the design process from concept, schematic, and detailed design to
construction documentation.
2. Review and approve design drawings, calculations, and specifications prepared by
internal team of designers and draftsmen.
3. Coordinate with design teams & project managers to comply with the client needs and
project requirements.
4. Ensure timely delivery of all design deliverables in line with project schedules and
milestones.
5. Coordinate with project managers, procurement, and construction teams to ensure
designs are practical, efficient, and cost-effective.
6. Manage design change control and ensure all revisions are tracked, approved, and
communicated properly.
7. Review design documents for completeness, correctness, and ensure all design
submissions comply with relevant codes, MNRE & DISCOM/CEIG guidelines and
standards.
8. Support procurement through technical inputs, BOM validation, and specification
preparation.
Requirements:
Educational Background: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Civil Engineering from a recognized
AICTE-approved institute. (Master’s degree in Civil / Electrical/System Engineering preferred.)
Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience in leading design teams for infrastructure and
renewable energy projects.
Software Proficiency: AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, Sketchup etc.
